With the details in the recent bust of another gay Republican congressman, I have to wonder how many guys - straight or not - are getting paranoid about their restroom behavior, wondering what harmless gesture will be interpreted as a come-on. I'm keeping to the timeless protocol of no eye contact and as little sound as possible.
UPDATE: No, I am not suggesting that Craig's action(s) was misinterpreted by the police officer. By all accounts, the cop in question is on the vice squad and probably knows the general antics to look for. My point was that clueless guys like me might second guess our own actions in anticipation of sending the wrong signals.

Good point, but don't you think instincts would take over? You'd know if someone--regardless of gender--was "coming on" to you??
Not that it happens that often, but I've gone to a couple of gay bars here in Houston and I know when a Lesbian might have more than just a passing interest in moi! I would think it would be the same with guys.
But since I don't have penis, I could be off...way off...like Craig's pants almost were!!!

Trust me, most men are slow on picking up signals they're not expecting. Directness is the basic keyword in men's interactions with one another (at least it was until the rise of corporate culture) so we look for the same in others until alerted to subtlety.
Until the feared "Craig effect" blows over (no pun intended) I'll carry copies of either a skin magazine or Sports Illustrated with me to the men's room to act as a talisman. (Note: Not to include any SI issue with figure skating, wrestling or water polo on the cover)
